Qingwen is an extremely focused and streamlined Chinese-English and English-Chinese dictionary designed with the Chinese reader in mind. Lookup is fast and easy, with just one search field which takes anything you throw at it - , Pinyin or English - and gives you the most relevant results.
Qingwen is great for students learning Chinese. You can use the word lists feature to keep track of dictionary entries for future reference. Each entry also has links to other similar entries, such as ones which contain the same characters, or ones that sound similar.
You can also listen to each character pronounced in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
Qingwen is powered by a modified version of CC-CEDICT.
NOTE: An active internet connection is required for the Mandarin/Cantonese audio playback feature.
