Gesture Search Your Way to Android

Yay! Google has once again impressed us with Gesture Search App for Android.
A great way to do your searches by making alphabet gestures on the screen of your Android-powered smartphones. Simply draw the letters to write your searches and the app will narrow down based on your input. The app will search through your contacts, messages, music, files and whatever it is that you are looking for.

The app is very smart that it recognizes both uppercase and lowercase gestures, scroll up and down all you want from the results and you can even make a call directly to your contacts from the search result list. You can put letters, word or multiple words in your searches. Editing your gestures is very easy to do by just drawing a horizontal line to the left to delete the last letter and go rightward to wipe everything off.

It even has a special feature called “double flip” which has been tested to work with Nexus One, Motorola Droid and T-Mobile G1. Watch how it works in this video from GoogleMobileBlog.

Other thanks to todoogas and androidcentral for the cool demos.
