Educational Game for Hockey Players Learning how to Score
This is not NHL 2010. It's a game that allows players to walk through different places to shoot on a butterfly goaltender for the best places to score. It uses the new Score100goals Shooter Tutor as a teaching aid as seen on YouTube.
This is a training aid that can be applied to the ice for developing a quicker release.
Why has scoring in hockey dropped rapidly the last 20 years? Better goalie equipment, the butterfly style, and shooters still targeting the same five spots- all contribute to the down swing in the red light being lit less.
The real snipers have adapted to the evolving goalie styles and equipment changes and this game teaches you how to be one of them. You will learn the best areas to shoot on the net based on your angle or location in the offensive zone.(For example, if you're breaking down the left wing and rip a slapshot from the hash-marks, you're going to be aiming at a different area of the net then if you're shooting from the point on a power play or you're getting a rebound on the goalie in tight.)
Built on statistical analysis of thousands of ice hockey goals scored, this app will develop and sharpen the skills necessary to awaken the sniper within. Watch your goal scoring skills evolve over the four increasingly difficult levels. (Mite-Bantam-Jr.-Pro)
As you advance through each level, you'll make split second decisions of where to shoot before the play is broken up. You start at the very manageable Mite level where the player is taught the correct target areas to shoot, while the Pro level leaves the decision to the shooter. Learn the breakdown of the offensive zone, based on angles and distance to the net, to increase the odds of making the twine bulge.
Nothing replaces shooting 100's of pucks in real life but any hockey player or enthusiast can improve on-ice performance by learning the goal scorers' thought process all the while having fun!
